torso hard, carapace-
like. Did you collapse
the Silver Bridge? Or

harbinger, the first if
not the last sign to
foreshadow doom
among the stars of
the Point Pleasant
skies?
Michelle Engel received her Master’s in English from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Both her visual and written work reflect a fascination with mythology and folklore.
